Company Overview
MMR is a private, non-profit 501©3 organization operating with little to no tax support from residents served. MMR provides pre-hospital care and medical transportation using basic, advanced and critical care ambulances, wheelchair vans and medical dispatching services. MMR has been accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) since 1997 and was the first agency in Michigan to receive ACE (Accredited Center of Excellence) designation by the National/International Academies of Emergency Medical Dispatch.
Company History
St. Mary’s of Michigan and Covenant Healthcare established Mobile Medical Response, Inc. in 1994 in an effort to provide a high performance Emergency Medical Service system in Saginaw County. Since, MMR has expanded its services to include fifteen counties in mid- and northern Michigan. What began as a single county service has grown into a fleet of 100 emergency response vehicles and a staff of nearly 600 with access to the latest in technology, equipment and medical protocols. MMR proudly boasts national and international accreditation for ambulance service and medical dispatch – demonstrating the “gold standard” in quality care and operational excellence in the ambulance industry.

Advancement Opportunities: MMR has advancement opportunities for all employees such as Field Training Officer (FTO) status for road staff and Paramedic Programs that graduate medics from Level 1 to Level 2 status, with a Specialty Care Training Program; which is MMR’s in-house Critical Care Program.
Employees may also have the opportunity to advance to a supervisory level or higher, or to make career changes into various departments within the MMR organization, if qualified.
